Using Technology to improve Business Communication

As human beings, we have always use devices, systems or tools to perform specific functions. In simple terms, the use of devices and tools to do work is in fact a form of technology. The use of technology had helped mankind to lower many barriers. Some of these barriers are in the field of communication, for instance people live far away from each other. Technology has allowed human being to interact freely on a global scale using the internet and telephone as the media of communication.
I was just a little while ago still undecided what topic I should write about. When my telephone rang, it was a call from my relative from Bangladesh telling me about my sick mother. Bangladesh is far away from the United States, yet I was able to get instant communication with my mother and the relatives who are taking care of her. This was possible with the use of the telephone, and that gave me the idea that I could use communication as my topic as long as I related to it to the field of business. Successful business transactions rely heavily on communication. Worker s must communicate with each other to ensure a flow of supplies and products. However, the faster the communication, the better business will function,. especially if there are many branches of the company. I realize that branch’s’ of a company can be located in various countries. When a company has different  branches , it will be required to have  faster and more effective means of communication.
Fortunately, technology has provided today’s business with the appropriate tools. Some  of these such tools are the telephone, the  internet, instant messaging and email. A company can also use Microsoft SharePoint.
Basically SharePoint helps people to work together. An company can set up websites so that the different branches can share information with each other with share points employees can manage documents and publish reports to help make better decisions. The advantages is that everyone can contribute to the decision making process even though they are far apart. This of course is communication by way of the internets.
Another method by which technology assists in business communication is instant messaging. This useful tool is very important for business. It is faster than email. With this program managers and supervisors can see everything going on the company.

In addition, email is another useful form of communication because of its simplicity and popularity. It is ideally suited for small businesses but also can be just as effective for larger companies. This type of communication provides information for the public and its distributed by the company. Generally it is information about a company which includes its organization, products and services. These external  aspects of communication are aimed at increasing revenue and are an important part of marketing.
For the external class of communications, the print method are still useful. However modern technology has provided this service as a useful social communication. Companies can create website to inform people about product and services. Social media such as Facebook and blogs are easy way to reach customers.
